Free Products With Resale Rights: Be Very Careful
Have you ever participated in one of those "holiday" events online where you can download eight million resale rights products for free? I have, and I've given stuff away for free. You need to be careful with anything you download from these even events, even if it's mine.
Some people download all the freebies, throw them up on a website, and expect to be a millionaire the next day. That's a big mistake. Most of the time, people compound the mistake by charging too much.
How much did you pay for the stuff you downloaded? Zilch. Any money you make selling it is gravy. Don't download something for free and expect to sell it for $197, no matter what the sales page claims.
What you really need to do is collect a library of resale rights products of various flavors. When the time is right, and you have a compelling marketing concept to use, wrap up a set of those products and sell them. That almost always works better. Of course, you can always use free products as free bonuses for other products you're selling.
Keep one more thing in mind. Always look for unique, or at least new downloads. Lots of people will be downloading, so "unique" won't last long. But downloading and trying to sell the same tired old products as-is isn't likely to give you good results.
If you're selective, and if you market them correctly, free products with resale rights can be another good tool in your online marketing toolbox.
